Looking back:
On Thursday, July 6, 2022, at 3:05 pm, an EF2 tornado struck the northeast corner of Clermont County, impacting Goshen, Miami, and Wayne Townships. The tornado, which was 500 yards wide with wind speeds of 130 mph, was on the ground for about 8 minutes and traveled approximately 5 miles, according to the US National Weather Service Wilmington OH. A total of 451 structures were affected in Clermont County due to this storm.
American Regulators participated in the long-term recovery committee to assist local businesses and residents with extensive disaster recovery. They contributed 5044 man-hours over 4.5 months in multiple townships. Afterward, they transitioned into the disaster rebuild phase, aiding residents in repairing structures and outbuildings until March 2023. Upon completion, American Regulators managed to save Goshen Twp residents 2.1 million dollars in disaster cleanup costs through a total of 521 volunteers.
